Police are appealing for witnesses after a food delivery rider was attacked and robbed late on Tuesday night in Bromyard Avenue, W3.

The incident happened at around 11.10pm on 23 June, shortly after the rider had completed a delivery. Two men approached him from behind, grabbed him and pushed him to the ground before stealing the keys to his moped. The suspects then fled towards The Vale. The victim suffered minor injuries to his arm and elbow.

Officers have released descriptions of the suspects. One was wearing a dark grey tracksuit with the hood up and a black balaclava and is believed to have assaulted the victim directly. The second was described as a Black man wearing a purple shirt, cream-coloured shorts and a black crash helmet, which police believe may be the same helmet later recovered from the stolen moped.

The moped was found abandoned a short time later in the W12 area. Detectives are urging anyone who saw the robbery or the suspects in the area before or after the incident to come forward. They are particularly keen to obtain CCTV, doorbell camera, mobile phone or dash-cam footage that could help identify those responsible.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting crime reference 01/7727496/26. Police say even small details could prove vital to the investigation.
