A house fire on the Gunnersbury Park Garden Estate drew a major emergency response on Saturday morning (27 December), with four fire engines and around 25 firefighters called to Princes Avenue on the Chiswick–Acton border.
London Fire Brigade said half of the ground floor of a mid-terraced property was damaged in the blaze. A man who left the house before crews arrived was treated at the scene and taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.
Control officers received the first of seven emergency calls at 11:02am. Firefighters from Acton, Chiswick, Richmond and Heston stations were dispatched, bringing the incident under control within an hour.
The cause of the fire has not yet been established and remains under investigation.
