Actonians U15s Crowned as League Champions

Football team win the Capital Girls League losing only once all season

Actonians U15s after clinching the league title

The U15s girls’ team at Actonians have won the Capital Girls League in its age group.

They became champions after defeating Alexandra Park Youth 3-2 away. That left them in an unassailable position in the league with two games to play. They lost only one match during the season.

Their coaches credit their success to playing and winning and a team and say they thoroughly deserve the success.

“Leagues are not won in a day they are fought for over a season and the girls have been brilliant throughout. Equally games a not won by individuals, they are won by the whole squad and every girl has played their part in making this happen and the convincing manner in which they have done it.

“Throughout every game they have shown a resilience and determination to not only play quality football but a desire to win, through from the convincing wins earlier in the season to the hard fought matches and last minute winners”, said Coach Ken Harrington.

Actonians Girls & Ladies is one of the largest female clubs in London, with teams training and competing at all ages from U8 to U21 and three Senior Teams as well. It is based at Gunnersbury Drive (W5 4LL).
