Remade will be one of the enterprises participating

June 15, 2023

A three day recycling themed festival is taking place in the Park Royal Design District this month.

The Re’Store Festival runs from 23—25 June kicking off with a Friday night Fashion show, a full weekend of make-and-mend workshops, panel talks and children’s activities

The aim of the event is to inspire you to reuse and remake, to rethink our future.

You’ll have the chance to meet local makers and discover a growing creative scene and circular economy in Park Royal, including new technology innovations and open-access spaces. Enterprises taking part include POW, Remade in Park Royal and London Hackspace.

The guest listed (by invitation or request) Friday night launch party and Re’Love fashion show will be held at Excelsior, an industrial warehouse housing 50+ creatives in Park Royal.

Over the weekend more than twenty remakers and vintage and preloved fashion and interiors sellers will take over EX2 (a new innovation hub in Park Royal) for a weekend market, workshops, panel talks and a BIG SWAP.

A children’s craft area and a teenage market will keep the kids engaged. Make and mend workshops will be held throughout the weekend - visitors will get an introduction to Japanese mending techniques Sashiko, Boro and Kintsugi and learn creative upcycling skills.

Panel talks with hosts Loma-Ann Marks, Editor in Chief of Reclaim Magazine and former fashion editor and eco-activist Bel Jacobs will explore circular no-waste in fashion, lifestyle and interiors.

The event is FREE but registration is required, and you are invited to bring up to 5 clothing items to participate in redistributing fashion at the BIG SWAP!
