Man From Acton Faces Murder Charge

A 19-year-old man from Acton has been charged with murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in Feltham last Tuesday (16 January).

Duarra Abdi of Western Avenue is accused, along with 23-year-old Ben Laing of Feltham, of killing 24-year-old Tyreece Scott.

The pair were both charged on Sunday after being detained at Stansted Airport the previous Friday.

Police say they were called to Grove Road in Feltham at around 1.15am after Mr Scott was found injured. Despite the efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene. A post mortem has confirmed the cause of death as a stab wound to the chest.

Abdi has also been charged with possession of a bladed article and Laing faces charge relating to the supply of drugs.

Both appeared in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court this Monday (22 January).

Detective Inspector Ollie Stride, from the investigation team, said after the arrests, “This is a significant development, however our investigation continues and we are still keen to hear from any witnesses who have not yet spoken to us."
