A 49-year-old Horn Lane resident has been jailed for three years after he was caught dealing heroin and crack cocaine in Acton Park.

At 4.20pm on Monday, 31 August officers from the Violent Crime Taskforce were on proactive patrol in the park when they came across a small group of men who appeared to be dealing drugs. The officers approached them and saw what looked like drugs wrapped in cling film in Steven Hue’s hands. He was then seen to throw the bag over a fence.

One officer retrieved the bag and Hue was detained for a search. On him officers found multiple wraps of drugs, more than £80 in cash, a Nokia mobile phone and a wrap of cannabis secreted in his left sock.

The drugs were analysed and confirmed as 40 wraps of crack cocaine and 27 wraps of heroin.

During his interview Hue answered no comment to all questions put to him.

Detective Sergeant Mark Kelleher from the Violent Crime Taskforce said, “The Violent Crime Taskforce was formed to disrupt criminality caused by those intent on committing acts of serious violence, which often stem from the supply of controlled drugs.

“The strong evidence that the investigation team gathered against Hue resulted in him pleading guilty to these serious offences.

“Officers are tackling drugs and violence every day. The message should be very clear, we are out day and night using lawful tactics, including stop and search, to keep London safe.”

Hue was charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs on 1 September. He was also charged with two further count of possession with intent to supply class A drugs in relation to another offence in May for which he was under investigation for and possession of an offensive weapon following an incident on 8 August.

Hue, pleaded guilty to four counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs on Monday, 1 December at Isleworth Crown Court and was sentenced on Friday, 4 December at the same court.

He was sentenced to 33 months for 4 possession with intent to supply class A drugs charges and five months for possession of an offensive weapon totalling to three years and two months imprisonment.
