Redback to Become The Acton Arms

Begone sticky carpets - Pub to reopen later this year

Acton's famous Redback pub is to undergo a transformation and reopen later this year as The Acton Arms.

The antipodean's favourite shut in February after concerns about increasing levels of drunkenness, violence and other safety issues.

Antic Ltd  - the company which will be taking over the site on Acton high street describes itself 'a pub company with a difference'.

They say: '' We take the ordinary and make it extrordinary, while keeping a back to basics approach. With 20 amazing pubs and more on the way,all are proper pubs with sausage rolls, we also provide some of the best entertainment that London has to offer, as the mountains of rave reviews testify.''

The company say of the former Redback ' Begone sticky carpets' and describe themselves (on twitter @AnticPubs) as 'Purveyors of ale, wine & fine foods', they also have new pub plans for Clapton and North Finchley.

Writing on the Acton W3 forum, Michael Armstrong from Antic says '' We're keen to hear from locals as to what you'd like to see happening there so get in touch or to simply join the mailing list email fi@antic-ltd.com''
