Volunteers helping Hounslow Community Foodbox

Once again this year, Hounslow Community Foodbox will be sending out Christmas Hampers to local residents.

Over 400 households are set to receive a package of seasonal items picked and packed by a team of volunteers. The hampers are filled with produce donated by local people and businesses.

The initiative is sponsored by Brentford Football Club and Alexanders which has allowed its warehouse to be used as a base for packing. This removal and storage specialist company have consistently supported Foodbox over the years and it is their vans and drivers who will deliver the hampers across the borough next week.

The Christmas campaign is shown through a video made in collaboration with The Bees, some of whose star players feature in the film.

The campaign follows the successful ‘Remember November’ where yet again borough residents and businesses dug deep to provide large donations of cash and items of food, toiletries and household essentials. Things are still tough for many in the borough and during the past year Hounslow Community FoodBox has helped more than 8000 adults and children.

Hounslow Community Foodbox collects food parcel donations at the Rose Community Centre in Brentford (TW8 8NT).
