West London council and housing association tenant and resident representatives (from - Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow and Kensington & Chelsea) are invited to attend a meeting on 9th December at Oaktree Community Centre, Acton, Ealing, to discuss housing and planning in West London.
The meeting, with speakers and workshops, will provide information about the West London Housing Partnership, (which links the boroughs listed above), and their joint housing projects.
It will look at the impact of the London Housing Strategy and the Mayor’s draft replacement London Plan (public consultation on this end on 12.01.10) on local housing and planning. It will provide opportunities for discussion on common issues for West London tenants and residents and possibilities to link.
There will be speakers from the West London Housing Partnership and the Mayor’s Housing and Homelessness team.
There will also be workshops on iInfluencing local and regional planning strategies, hHousing and regeneration in the draft London Plan, priorities for West London tenants / residents /
community groups and opportunities to link.
