St Katherine's Church Holds Christmas Fair

End of second lockdown provided brief opportunity for community event

On Saturday 5 December, St Katherine’s Church in East Acton held a Christmas Fair in the church grounds to share some of this season’s joy with the community.

Church leaders Revd Jim Tate and Revd Lesley Tate were delighted to see friends and neighbours throughout the afternoon.

They said it was also wonderful to welcome first time visitors to the church which is affectionately known as St Kat’s.

During the afternoon, the community took the opportunity to celebrate the end of the second national lockdown of 2020 by visiting the stalls at the Fair and purchasing items including Christmas gifts and home baked treats.

Jim and Les stated there was a warm, friendly atmosphere with lots of conversations as people shared their lockdown experiences and their hopes for the future.

Covid-19 restrictions allowing there will be a Christmas Eve Service at 7.30pm on Thursday 24 December and the usual 10.45am Sunday morning services will hopefully resume from 27 December.
