Sizzling Show Disco Inferno Comes To Questors

Book your seat for a fantastic night out this week

Gloc Musical Theatre promises a fantastic night out with its latest musical - Disco Inferno. Set in the 70s it'll be a trip down memory lane for some, and for others a chance to watch mates trip over!

The amateur production company sums up the show on its website: "This highly acclaimed musical combines a hilarious script, fantastic characters and a score of hits from an unforgettable era of glitter, flares and platform shoes. Disco Inferno is a high energy musical guaranteed to warm hearts, get feet tapping and audiences leaving the auditorium with a daft grin of pleasure and the fondest memories of a sensational era."

And for forum regulars it's also a chance to put a face to name! Jane Salisbury 'back row chorus and proud of it' has already heard that several forum members will be coming along to the show. "I think they are hoping I'll fall off my platform shoes," she joked.

Gloc Musical Theatre is a non-professional society based in West London that specialises in the performance of musicals and music written in the last fifty years.

The group rehearses every Wednesday evening at 8.00pm at Hanwell Methodist Church Hall. Principal rehearsals are on Friday evenings at 8.15pm at St Thomas Church Hall. "We also usually rehearse on several Sunday afternoons leading up to a show," added Jane. "And of course we go to the pub after rehearsals..."

Jane regards herself as more of a singer than a dancer but everybody in the company can turn their hand to both. And that's people of all ages - from the youngest, in their late teens, to the oldest member of the group - a lady of 75 who still dances.

The company productions draw large audiences, although Jane wouldn't say that she personally has a fan base. "I only have my kids because they have to!" she admitted. "But GLOC definitely has a following because people know they are guaranteed a good night out."

See you down there!
