Tonya Blowers aims to stir literary creativity
Have you always wanted to write but never seem to find the time or energy? Do other things always come first? On a series of new courses run by Tonya Blowers at least you won't have the excuse that you have nothing to write about. You will be encouraged to start writing regularly about everyday experiences, to reflect on what is interesting and unique about those experiences and to develop your own writing voice.
The courses will look at and practise different forms of life writing (the letter, the diary, the autobiography) and think about some of the themes and issues that relate to such writing in general (the past and memories; truth and lies; secrets and confessions; fiction and non-fiction).
Homework will be set each week and this can be shared with the group, or
privately with the tutor. The aim of the course is to provide a
non-threatening, non-judgemental space in which your writing and your
creativity will flourish.
Creative writing for kids workshops are in the process of being set up. To
register an interest/ for more information, please phone/ e-mail.
Writing
workshops for special groups (eg. teenagers; au pairs) and organisations
interested in creative team-building can be arranged. One-to-one tutorials
also available.
