Friends of Boston Manor organising BBQ and Bar alongside tennis and football tournaments
It has been well documented that the popular Brentford Festival will not take place this year in Boston Manor Park but this has not stopped activities taking place this Sunday 2nd September from noon onwards.
Keeping things sporty on the back of the Olympics the Tennis Club will be running their annual tournament and the Spartans Youth Football club will be running a friendly match before they start their season back in the park the following week.
The Friends of Boston Manor in addition to running the Pavilion Café with its snacks and home-made cakes also hope to be cooking sausages and burgers from a BBQ. Weather looks like it is going to be good so, to wash it all down, there will be jugs of pimms, lagers, cider and wine on sale.
Although there is nothing organised officially, regular attendees of the Brentford Festival will be taking a picnic up to Boston Manor Park this Sunday along with games for children. The news that the Friends will be providing a BBQ as well as a licensed bar just adds to the fun so why not join in.
