Ealing u3a Announces Summer Programme


Historical talks to be made available free on zoom


U3a’s motto is Learn, Laugh, Live!

Ealing u3a is hosting a series of historical talks this summer. The programme will be streamed free of charge by Zoom, with each talk will starting at 10.30am.

Ealing u3a is part of a national association whose members make the most of life enjoying new friends and discovering new ideas, skills and interests. There are regular talks by experts covering a multiplicity of subjects, additionally over 40 popular special interest groups for a wide variety of ‘pursuits and leisure activities such as arts, science, history, hobbies, visits, walking and learning opportunities.

22 July Centenary of the Royal British Legion

5 August A History of the Royal Astronomical Society
“Whatever shines must be observed” – Dr Sian Prosser – Librarian and Archivist
Key moments, achievements and notable individuals over the last 200 years.

19 August How to read the English Country Church - From the Tudors to the present day
Rev. Dr Nicholas Henderson – Academic and Vicar Emeritus, All Saints, Ealing.
How English church architecture has reflected the evolution of society and community over the past 500 years.

The regular talks are on Thursday mornings, currently by Zoom, but will return to Ealing Green Church when allowed. The current schedule is also available here.
