Most schools break-up this week
Vacancies are still available at Ealing Council's summer holiday play schemes. Based at sites across the borough, the schemes are affordable and run by experienced and qualified staff.
Children can stay from 8.30am- 5.45pm. The fee is £75 per child per week (£70 for siblings) or £17 per day. Children must attend for a minimum of two days. Payment can be made by using the new online payment system at www.ealing.gov.uk/pay or by cheque or debit card. The play service also accepts childcare vouchers.
Children attending the schemes take part in organised games, crafts and activities, as well as being given the opportunity to relax and play freely with old friends and new ones. Staff also organise day trips to venues such as local parks, the cinema and bowling.
The schemes run from Monday, 27 July until Friday, 21 August. The play scheme at St Gregory’s School will also operate for an extra week from Monday, 24 August until Friday, 28 August. Parents can choose from the following venues:
• East Acton Primary School, East Acton (5-12 year olds)
• Dairy Meadow Primary School, Southall (5-12 year olds)
• St Gregory’s Primary School, Ealing (5-12 year olds)
• Hobbayne Primary School, Hanwell (5-12 year olds)
• Petts Hill Primary School, Northolt (5-12 year olds)
A scheme for 8-12 years olds will also run at Perivale Community Centre, Greenford for one week from Monday 24 August until Friday 28 August.
Councillor Binda Rai, cabinet member for children and young people, said: “Our play schemes are a lifeline for parents during the summer holidays, providing affordable all-day childcare in a secure and relaxed environment. Our qualified and experienced play leaders offer a range of interesting and fun activities for the children to take part in and many of our families use the service year after year.
“Spaces start to fill rapidly at this time of year, so I would urge anyone who wants to reserve a place to get in touch with and book their place today.”
