Borough-wide initiative to encourage more community giving

A new borough-wide campaign's been launched to help promote local charitable businesses.

We-Love-Local is an initiative to register, recognize and promote traders and firms that donate to charities which provide services to the local population – local to the vicinity of the shop or office displaying the logo.

The idea behind it is that registering and displaying the logo will encourage others to donate as well as demonstrate the company's ethos to their customers.

To qualify thefundraiser must come from a local shop or office and to a charity that provides services to the community. The donation must be from the previous financial year and no less than £300.

This is a local Ealing initiative but if successful, it will be extended nationwide.
