General Election 2017

Who is standing and where can you vote?

Residents can find their local polling station for the upcoming general election with Ealing Council’s online polling station finder at http://maps.ealing.gov.uk

The UK parliamentary general election will take place on Thursday, 8 June. British, Commonwealth and Irish citizens aged 18 or over are eligible to vote.

Registered voters will have received a polling card in the post containing information on where to go to vote, or whether arrangements are in place for a postal vote.

Although it is possible to vote without a polling card, residents are asked to bring theirs with them to the polling station, as it makes it quicker and easier for staff on the day.

Paul Najsarek, chief executive of Ealing Council, said: “I encourage everyone to check where their local polling station is and cast their vote in the upcoming general election.

Ealing’s voter turnout increased to 68% at the last general election, meaning we saw thousands more people exercising their democratic right to vote. As in any election, everyone’s voice is important and I hope that local people across the borough will have their say on 8 June.”
