A trial at the Old Bailey is hearing details of the events leading up to the fatal shooting of a man in Hanwell last year.

20-year-old Sebastiaan James-Kraan was gunned down on Templeman Road in the early hours of Saturday 9 June dying of his injuries from the single gunshot three days later in hospital.

This Tuesday (13 May), the jury was shown footage from an earlier confrontation at Tenpin Acton at Royal Leisure Park which occurred shortly before the shooting.

Sebastiaan can be seen arriving with his friends including Moses and Saddam Moussa, Yusuf Hayta, and another unidentified man. They parked in the car park and entered the venue.

Another group including 19-year-old Emmanuel Mgbean, Jayson Rodriguez-McDonald, also 19 and his 18-year-old brother Javier where at the Nova Park Royal on the other side of the car park

At around 1am the three teenagers, along with two women, crossed to the bowling alley where CCTV captured them greeting the unidentified man among Sebastiaan’s friends. Shortly afterwards there was an exchange of words between the two groups and an altercation ensued outside the venue which was captured on CCTV. Following the fight, the Rodriguez-Macdonald brothers and Mgbean returned to Nova Park Royal whilst Sebastiaan’s group, apart from the unidentified fifth person, left in his car.

Just over an hour afterwards Sebastiaan was shot. CCTV footage shows him parking on Templeman Road and then Sebastiaan and his friends being chased by three men.

After the shooting, a Toyota was seen speeding away from the area. The prosecution alleges that this car belonged to Jayson Rodriguez-McDonald and it was the same one pictured on the CCTV of a petrol station earlier that evening.

The police are not certain if there was previous bad blood between the two parties or if the dispute was a result of the events of that night.

Two arrests were made in the Bristol area on Friday 21 June with another man detained in Wembley the following day.

In a statement following the shooting, Sebastiaan's family said, "Sebastiaan James-Kraan was cruelly taken away from his family at such a young age. He was a kind, loving, gentle man with a beautiful soul who will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends. A gentle giant with a heart of pure gold."

Mgbean and the Rodriguez-McDonald brothers deny a charge of murder. The trial is continuing.
