The six dogs that were in the back of a dog walker's van that was stolen from the Acton area this Friday morning (12 November) have all been returned hom safe and well.

The black Transit van was parked near a house on Erconwald Street near East Acton tube at around 10am while a dog was being collected when it was taken.

The pets inside included Cabbage a 12-year-old rescue collie belonging to former BBC technology correspondent Rory Cellan Jones.

An appeal was made in the press and on social media for the van's return prompting the comment that the van had become 'too hot to handle' and the vehicle duly turned up in Park Royal a few hours later.

However, only five of the missing dogs were present when the van was located. Buffy (aka Bafi) the cockapoo was still missing but reportedly she turned up later in Putney.
