Ealing Council looking to hire young apprentices
Young people in the borough still have until Friday, 30 April 2010 to submit their applications to Ealing Council’s Apprenticeships Scheme.
The council is looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated young people aged between 16 and 24 who live or go to school in Ealing to join its apprenticeship scheme in September 2010.
The council offers a one-year training contract with an optional second year, a generous training allowance of £160 per week, and invaluable work experience. All the apprentices work towards a National Vocational Qualification at Level 2 (equivalent of five GCSEs at C or above) and Level 3 (equivalent to two A levels).
Candidates do not need special skills, work experience or qualifications. However, they do need enthusiasm, a desire to develop their skills and to be a good team player.
Pat Hayes, Executive Director of Regeneration and Housing, said:
“This is a really popular scheme, which has seen over 70 apprentices join Ealing Council since its launch in 2007. I look forward to seeing more people join this September as they begin the first steps of their career.”
