Have You Got A Teen That Needs Taming?

Council host free one-day workshop to help borough’s troubled parents

Parents of teenagers are being invited to a free event to help them deal with their adolescents.

The one-day workshop has been organised by Ealing Council’s Children Services to help mums and dads gain the skills they need to deal with difficult situations without confrontation.

The event, which will take place at the Trailfinders Sports Club in Vallis Way on Saturday, 18 October, will feature Lorrine Marer from Channel 5 TV shows The Teen Tamer and Families Behaving Badly.

The event runs from 10am to 4pm and includes workshops and discussions on:
- Strategies to help parents of teenagers with challenging behaviour
- Problem solving and negotiation
- Dealing with the emotional extremes of teenagers
- Sex and sexuality
- Diet and health
- Drugs and substance abuse
- Crime and staying safe

Parents will also be entered into a free prize draw to win one of four mini I-Pod Shuffles. Those attending will also be given Who Wants to be a Millionaire style voting pads to give event organisers feedback on the workshops.

A free shuttle bus is available which will pick up and drop off at several points across the borough. Free food will be provided.
