Ealing Mediation Service (EMS), a local charity dedicated to resolving conflict and anti-social behaviour through mediation, has appointed a new chairman, Andrew Walker.

The organisation aims to provide a fully accessible, independent, impartial, confidential community mediation service, to quality assured standards, to all residents within the London Borough of Ealing (and where negotiated, in other local boroughs).

In addition it trains local residents to gain the skills required to mediate and works with partners to raise awareness of mediation and its benefits within the local community.

Following his appointment, Andrew Walker highlighted EMS’s ongoing commitment to building a more harmonious community, stating, “Mediation offers a powerful tool to address conflict constructively and find solutions that meet the needs of all involved. EMS is proud to provide this essential service free of charge to the residents of Ealing, helping to create a more peaceful and inclusive borough.”

The organization also recently welcomed the Mayor of Ealing, Councillor Hitesh Tailor, as a guest of honour at its annual general meeting held on 15 January.

Cllr Tailor commended the role of EMS in addressing anti-social behaviour, stating, “Anti-social behaviour can have a significant impact on individuals and communities. EMS plays a crucial role in providing a safe and supportive space for residents to resolve conflict and find common ground. I applaud their dedication to this important work.”

If you are experiencing conflict or anti-social behaviour EMS asks you to reach out for mediation services. To learn more about Ealing Mediation Service, visit www.ealingmediation.org.uk.
