Tidy up your green spaces and earn rewards
A new mobile app points scheme has been launched in a bid to get Ealing residents more involved in their local parks.
'Love your park' is a funded programme as part of Ealing's Pride in my Park initiative.
The idea is people will get rewarded for doing things such as voluntarily litter-picking, gardening, and joining a Friends Of Park group.
The points can be exchanged for vouchers for high street retailers, or they can be donated to a variety of charities, both local and national.
All that’s required is a smartphone with GPS, so that activity is recorded via the app.
Councillor Mik Sabiers, cabinet member for environment and highways said:
"Getting involved with a local park, meeting up and getting to know neighbours, enjoying the activity and exercise in fresh air, and getting rewards for you or for a charity of your choice is simply a win win for everyone."
