A Little Bit of Give and Take Does You Good

Action Acton launches monthly event at Market

The last Saturday of every month will now be Give and Take Day at Acton Market. Starting on Saturday January 26th, this free event, in partnership with Ealing Council, will allow anyone to give unwanted items away and/or take something that is wanted.

The idea is to reduce the amount of waste that is being put into landfills by encouraging people to give away things they don't want and is bound to appeal to the recycling-conscious residents of Acton, Ealing and Chiswick, and possibly to those in search of an amazing bargain.

The event will take place from 12:30 until 3:00 pm every Saturday at Acton Market, which is located on The Mount/King Street in Acton, W3.

Alex Watson, of Action Acton says they are looking for good quality household and garden items that can be reused such as books, toys, bikes, tools, furniture, kitchenware and bric-a-brac.

They cannot accept any electrical items, clothes or knives.

Alex says: "We're hoping that Give and Take Day will make people look around their homes and see just what they don t use anymore. And they will reduce the amount of waste they dump and reuse items that other people don t need."
