Local roads selected for home energy project

Free advice to be given on efficient use of resources

Fourteen roads including homes in Acton and Hanwell have been randomly selected to become part of a new project called Home Energy Solutions.

Residents living in Church Road, Manor Court Road, Brentmead Close & Golden Manor, W7; Trinity Road, Townsend Road, West End Road, Hambrough Road, UB1; Sussex Crescent, Southwell Avenue, & Haydock Avenue, UB5; St Dunstans Avenue, Eastbourne Avenue, & Perryn Road, W3; will be given free advice on energy efficient measures suitable for the home.

Households that choose to be involved will also receive free energy efficient light bulbs with their welcome pack and immediate and ongoing advice on keeping warm, fuel tariffs and saving energy.

Funded by the Association of London Government and run by Energy Solutions (North West London) in conjunction with Ealing Council, the project aims to help households in the borough reduce their fuel bills and become more energy efficient.

The project will run for three years, with new roads selected on an annual basis. Residents within these roads that wish to participate will automatically be entered in to a competition to win a ‘A’ rated energy efficient appliance worth up to £350.
