Armed police seize massive ectasy haul


Man from Acton charged with drugs and firearms offences

Armed police have seized ectasy tablets believed to have a street value of £3.5mn. The haul came following the stopping of a vehicle on the A40 eastbound near Northolt.

Officers from SO19, the armed unit of the Met and the Central Task force, discovered over 750,000 ectasy tablets in the back of the vehicle.

Abdul Razzaq Majedi, aged 45, of 135 Graham Tower, Hanbury Road, Acton, was arrested and appeared at Ealing Magistrates Court charged on Monday (29th November) morning.

He was charged with possession with intent to supply a Class B drug and possession of loaded .38 revolver with intent to enable another to endanger life.

Police also say that a residential address in Acton was searched and two handguns and a sawn-off shotgun were recovered together with 350 rounds of ammunition and approximately two kilos of a substance thought to be cocaine.
