Police appeal for witnesses to Horn Lane robbery


Mobile phone snatched by 'boys on bikes'

Ealing Borough Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery, which took place on Horn Lane, Acton, W3 at 1930hrs on Friday 22nd July 2005.

 

The 25-year-old male victim alighted the tube at North Acton underground station and made his way towards Horn Lane.

 

The victim was walking along Horn Lane, using his Mobile phone when two males approached him from behind on Silver Mountain bikes. The victim was then pushed slightly in the back of the head and had his mobile phone snatched.

 

Both suspects were last seen fleeing the scene in the direction of the A40.

 

Suspect 1 – Black Male, approx 18yrs, 5’11”, clean shaven, thin build, wearing a white baseball cap, white jumper, white trousers, white trainers and riding a silver mountain bike.

 

Suspect 2 - Black Male, approx 18yrs, 5’11”, short black hair, medium build, wearing dark trousers and riding a silver mountain bike.

 

The victim was not injured by the push but did receive a small bruise under his left eye from where suspect one grabbed the phone from his grasp.

 

Ealing Borough police believe two females and a male who were also walking a short distance behind the victim in Horn Lane witnessed the incident.

 

Ealing Borough Police are keen to trace these witnesses and would appeal for those individuals to contact them.
