Thieves grab 'slush puppy' machine

Unorthodox raid on cafe in Gunnersbury Park

ChUnorthodox thieves have made away with the 'slush puppy' type machine from the Pavilion Cafe in Gunnersbury Park. The theft took place overnight on Sunday 6th/Monday 7th March.

The blue and pink 'Ice Blast' machine worth £10,000 dispenses sugary icy drinks. It is very heavy so a large group would have been required to move it through the large window through which it was taken out of the cafe.

The machine was dragged across the park, leaving a trail of drink syrup on the grass, to a concrete area where police presume a van was waiting to pick it up. It would seem, however, that the thieves efforts were in vain as they neglected to bring a vital part with them without which the machine will not function.

If any one offers you an Ice Blast machine for sale or you have any other information on this crime you are asked to contact PC Phil Royan on 020 8247 5940.
