Bus Strike Goes Ahead


First, Metroline and Metrobus bus drivers stage 24 hour walkout on Friday 10th October

First, Metroline and Metrobus bus drivers are staging a 24-hour strike beginning at 03:00 on Friday 10 October after talks between the three bus operators and the trade union, Unite, over the 2008 pay settlement broke down.

The strike is likely to affect the following routes:

E3 Edensor Road Chiswick to Greenford (operated by First)

Please note that buses operated by Metroline from their Brentford deport are NOT likely to be affected by the strike

These include:

117 West Middlesex University Hospital to Staines (operated by Metroline)

190 Richmond to West Brompton (operated by Metroline)

237 Hounslow Heath to Shepherd’s Bush (operated by Metroline)

635 Brentford to St Paul’s School, Sunbury (Schooldays only) (operated by Metroline)

E2 Brentford to Greenford (operated by Metroline)

E8 Brentford to Ealing Broadway (operated by Metroline)

Please note that buses operated by other bus companies are not expected to be affected.
