Man in critical condition after road collision


Police make arrest following incident on West Cromwell Road

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fail to stop road traffic collision in West Cromwell Road at the junction with Warwick Road, W14, at approximately 1940 on Friday January 21.

A man driving an Audi A3 car westbound was in collision with a 29 year old male pedestrian from the Putney area.

He was taken to hospital with serious head and chest injuries. His condition is described as critical but stable. A member of the public followed the car involved and alerted police.

A 35 year old man from the Acton area was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop following a road traffic collision.. He was taken to Chelsea Police Station and has been bailed to a date in April.

The incident is being investigated by the Collision Investigation Unit at Euston Traffic Garage.
