Unicorn School

Founded in 1970, Unicorn is a successful and vibrant co-ed prep school for children aged 3 – 11, housed in a large Victorian villa opposite Kew Gardens.

We pride ourselves in preparing children for the ever-changing world ahead, cultivating not just academic prowess, but also confidence, resilience, adaptability, and the lasting virtues of kindness and compassion.

Children are encouraged to discover their strengths and passions, whether academically, in the arts or on the sports field. Achieving excellent results, Unicorn feeds on to a wide range of leading day and boarding schools.

How do you get in?

You need to register your child and it is always good to have visited the school as well. There are 22 nursery places available each year and your child can start as soon as they reach 3 years old or the September after their 3 rd birthday. Places occasionally become available in other years. Registration can be done through our website and private tours are available on request daily at 9.30am.
