For only the second time ever Brentford FC’s women’s team will be playing at the Gtech Community stadium.

Tickets for the fixture this Sunday (24 March) are available for just £2 with no charge for juniors.

Kick off for the London South East Division One North match against Ashmount Leigh is at 3pm. The visitors defeated the Bees 3-2 on the opening day of the season but currently Brentford are on a 12-game winning streak and are unbeaten since the start of December.

This has moved them up to fifth in the table on 25 points but they have five games in hand over league leaders Sport London E Benfica, who sit on 41 points.

A perfect 2024 so far, has put them in two cup finals and left the league title still up for grabs.

The only previous game at the Gtech for Kayleigh Osborne’s side took place in in November 2022, where a record crowd of 5,116 fans watched on as the Bees beat Watford Ladies Development 4-2.

Ahead of the fixture against Ashmount Leigh, the club has released a limited-edition women’s home match shirt, which will be worn by the team and is available for female fans to purchase.

The shirt has the CPQR code, which was created by Resuscitation Council UK who are part of the club’s Heart of West London initiative. When scanned, the code leads to a two-minute instructional video explaining how to conduct CPR, which could save the life of someone experiencing a cardiac arrest.

The home shirt is made by Brentford’s official technical kit manufacturer Umbro. Similar to the men’s first team shirt, the design incorporates the club’s ‘bee sting’ graphic with a red-to-black fade.

A limited amount of the shirts are now available online and in the Bees Superstore, exclusively for our fans in UK women’s sizes, 8 to 18. Shirt personalisation is also available in Premier League font in-store.

Brentford chief executive, Jon Varney said, “It’s fantastic to see our women’s team continue growing from strength to strength. We’re giving our fans the chance to purchase the shirt that our team will be sporting at the stadium in celebration of this fixture.

“By purchasing and wearing this limited-edition shirt, our fans are not only showing their support but also becoming part of a movement celebrating women's football.

"Let's unite in backing our team this weekend and make it an unforgettable experience for everyone involved."

Michael Bradfield, clinical director at Resuscitation Council UK said, "We’re excited to hear the women’s shirts will have the CPQR code displayed on them, and that they’re available for fans to purchase - it will increase awareness of this lifesaving skill.

"Ultimately, if you come across a person who is suffering a cardiac arrest, you need to perform CPR and defibrillation as quickly as possible to give them the best chance of survival. Anyone could and should attempt CPR and use a defibrillator, when available, which talks you through each step of its use."
