This could set a precedent - looks like development in a back garden -those living at the back of the property may be interested if they have not been consulted.How much parking and where will the access road be built?Also refuse storage access could be a problem.  How will the dustmen collect? Be very, VERY wary of The Planning Inspectorate.  I have been involved in three situations now where LBE quite rightly "Refused" on crystal clear Planning Law grounds, and the subsequent Appeal was Granted by The PI and the Council overruled.Logic and the application of clear Planning Law doesn't come into it if the Inspector is a numpty. Or something worse? :-)

We need to fill out a short form via the planning portal to register your objections. The local council has cast their opinion and it was against granting planning. excellent - now you need to be vigilent - the same applcation could reinvent itself in a different form - or at an inconvenient time when you are all on your summer holidays ..........

Apparently the council planning officers rejected this application yesterday without taking it to committee.Many thanks to all those who signed the joint letter - all 116 of you - and to those who objected individually.We are now waiting to see if there will be an appeal or a re-submission of a more cautious proposal but hope there won't be.

Guys!How can I sign for you?That's fraud.I'm in tomorrow or much of the weekend if you want to sign ....or send an email objection.But I don't feel I can do it for you as it makes the whole thing too easy to dismiss as a fix. And it isn't. More than 30 people came round to sign it this evening. Very jolly it was too.

Thanks.We've also sent a letter of objection direct to Jamie Forsman at Ealing Council.Planning application    P/2007/0799Jamie Forsman Planning Officer,Planning Services,Ealing Council,14-16 Uxbridge Road,London W5  2HLIt's not the first time developers have had their beady eyes on Cumberland Park Lane.About 6 years ago, one developer tried to entice residents to allow a whole row of mews type properties to be built. They didn't succeed.
