Friary Park Empty Towers
An excellent video on the front page by Cap The Towers. It's so clear that the architects, developers and planning committee were determined to push this scheme through to the detriment of the local community and regardless of the lack of social housing being offered. It's a disgrace.I know many other developments across London which are much better designed and properly considered to scale up appropriately from the surrounding low rise housing. Three that come to mind are Acton Gardens, the development on Boston Road, Hanwell and the redevelopment of the Mount Pleasant Sorting office in Central London. All are lower rise but still dense, are better designed as buildings and provide far superior public space. Those involved in the Friary Park development should take note and be ashamed of themselves. The rest of us have to live with this but we can at least use our votes to register our outrage. If we don't, then we have no right to complain.
