The White Hart

I only realised the Aeronaut had reopened as the White Hart recently but apparently it has been there for quite a while. I've been meaning to visit as the beer prices look very appealing even compared to the RL&P. Has anyone given it a try?

Six Bells was a god pub in the 70's.

All i know Maire is what i've been told and that is they ( 6 Bells) got planning to convert or upgrade flats above the pub on the proviso they kept the ground floor as a public space - ie a pub. They did a good job refurbing the outside but the windows have had metal security panels for many months now without any sign of life

So what is the story with the Six Bells Tony? We can see work has been done but no sign of it opening as a commercial venture.

Finally managed to pop in and it was pleasant enough but, as has been pointed out not much range in terms of beers - so basically like most pubs twenty years ago.It could work. Having ditched my sports channel subscriptions due to the need to save money and being too much of a conformist to use a dodgy firestick I'll be forced to go to a pub to watch games. It'll be interesting to see how busy it is tomorrow night for the Europa League final with TNT having withdrawn free-to-air coverage.

Isn’t it terribly hard for a pub to survive with no food? Almost all seem to do at least something…

Its definitely competitive with Spoons but the beer choice is poor, well vanilla. It has all sports, sky etc on telly and a pool table and darts board. The latter 2 things have contributed to some occasional aggro. There is no food but apparently the room on the side will be used for live music. We will see.Any new pub in Acton is very welcome, the guys who took over the 6 bells are pulling a fast one on opening it. My guess is they have NO intention of doing so. Hope im proved wrong

That's what it used to be named in the 70's.The Red Lion and Pineapple was also the White Hart before they took the signage down and discovered the one there now and there used to be a pub opposite it on the Uxbridge Rd called the White Horse.
