Roadworks near Acton Town Station

NO, NO, NO!the people who live around Acton Town Station are totally fed up with the road works which have been going on for months and will continue to go on for months more!On top of the works which impede everyone on Gunnersbury Lane, we now have Avenue Road being closed until 5th March. The residents of Mill Hill and the conservation area have put up with incessant noise for months and the proper building of the propspective hotel hasn't even started yet, road and pedestrian walk ways are closed, traffic control lights which make getting out of our streets and unsafe access for school children and any other pedestrians,  and traffic hold ups causing pollution, unbelievable!Every day is a bad temper day!Who on earth authorised or planned this horror story?Planning permission should never have been given for a site which would close pedestrian and vehicle traffic for so many months, partcicularly as there is also construction across the road. Various other road closures have also been going on in Bollo Rd., and further up and down Gunnersbury Lane.....and now Avenue Rd. as well!This is outrageous!!Who is responsible for this?

I agree with you wholeheartedly Mr Pacey.Unfortunately we have a Liebore controlled Council who don't give a toss what residents want or think.The Party, its Members and its Idiotology comes FIRST.Use your vote wisely folks.We have a lovely Council.  🤣

You need to ensure that your voice is heard by complaining to Ealing on their portal. It's pointless getting angry on here, despite how much I agree with you. Complain to Ealing and tell them the impact it's having on you every day.

There was a 4-day gap at the weekend with no hold-ups. Bliss! Then the next lot arrived. It's enough to drive a person mad.

I sat on an  E3 in Acton bound for a "gadget help" club in Blondin Park ,late last year I believeAs well as Acton Town roadworks the lights outside Spoons pub in Acton were having worksThe bus did not move for best part 25 minsThe journey to tube where I decide to abandon the bus as app was showing 2/3 additional roadworks on E3 route took 40 minsOf course the bus stop for my return was closed!last week again on E3 on Gunnersbury lane the bus sat stationary for 15/20The cause this time was broken lights at the junction with bolo lane near the tube and the parked construction truck on the pavement obstructing traffic heading to Acton.This meant that both lights in both directions were on Green No apparent manual traffic management Headless chickens running round in high Viz Pedestrians at major risk.Chaos is and understatement Health and Safety need to get involved in this
