Acton Post Office

For those who are not already awareAt the Post Office we are continually looking to refresh our network and ensure we meet our customerneeds. I’m therefore pleased to let you know that we are planning to open a new Post Office in yourarea in Chatime, 96 High Street, Acton, W3 6QX on Tuesday 08 July 2025 at 13:00.The service will be one of our local style branches with a low-screened, open-plan Post Office servicepoint carefully integrated into the retail counter. Customers will be able to carry out a wide range ofPost Office transactions alongside retail purchases. The new service will offer long opening hours,with the Post Office opening hours in line with the retail business.

I guess Lidl's free car park isn't too far for most of us to walk to the proposed new premises, though keeping it inside the Oaks with the banking facilities might have been more elegant!

We are very happy to hear that Ealing Ciuncil are reviewing their options for disables parking on the High Street. This follows the Post Office decision to open a new sub Post office. The shared premises is Oost Office policy.

A mosaic group of Residents, Councillors, Acton Bid, suppoburted by our MP Rupa Huq first had to convince the Post office to have a branch on the High Street. More difficult than you might think. Then the group worked hard to persuade the Post office to locate the service within the Oaks (parking) or in a vacant building on the High Street which ight offer other services like printing, copying, bulk stationary etc. Ultimately we did not succeed and must gracefully agree and support the new Post office located within a business premises, as Post Office policy demands. We are hopeful the disabled parking spot near the new Post Office will be reinstated and if you could mention this to your local Councillor, it might help. Wishing the new PO every success.
