This Christmas, give back and embrace sustainability at the Acton Market Reduce and Recycle Hub!As part of the Community Christmas celebration on Saturday, December 7th, you can help the community this Christmas in the following ways;Firstly, Swap your way to a sustainable Christmas!Skip buying new and join the Jolly Christmas Jumper Swap on December 7th (10am-3pm).Here's how it works:• Donate: Drop off your clean, unwanted Christmas jumpers, tops, or t-shirts at designated locations before December 6th:o ActOne Cinema & Cafe, Acton (119 High St, W3 6NA)o West Ealing Library (Melbourne Ave, W13 9BT)o Northfields Community Library (Northfield Ave, W5 4UA)• Swap: Exchange your donations for a new-to-you festive garment!• Enjoy: Wear your swapped item and celebrate a sustainable holiday season!Secondly, you can support Acton's homeless this winter!Winter Coat Drive! Donate your unwanted winter coats and accessories (hats, gloves, scarves, jumpers) to help those in need. McLaren Group, a local construction company, is spearheading this initiative. Their staff will be at the hub (10am-3pm) to receive your donations.Can't make it? No problem! Email lexden@mclarengroup.com to arrange a drop-off at their Acton office. Together, let's ensure a warm winter for everyone!Thirdly, keep Acton reading with pre-loved books!Join our book swap this Christmas on 7th December and help keep pre-loved books circulating in our community. Bring some books to swap or come and pick up some new reads! We’ll also have some wrapped mystery books ready for gifting to loved ones.Let’s spread festive cheer and minimize our environmental impact!
