Park where ever you want!

Is anyone else as excited as I am by the fact that you can seemingly park ANYWHERE you want in Acton? It’s so convenient! Pull up onto ‘the mount’ and do your shopping. If that’s too crowded just park on any nearby pavement. And an added bonus is when you park your car on the pavement it prevents those nasty e-bikes and scooters from doing the same thing. God I hate them! It’s a win win!

A neighbour told me she forgot to renew her resident parking permit six months ago and didn't get a fine until this week. Looks like the new enforcement regime is a bit more rigorous than under SERCO.

Anyone who lives in the area and pays for a residents permit are likely paying hundreds per year but where are the parking officers? I think I have seen 1 doing the rounds in the last three or four years.Are we spending all that money for a sign on a lamp post that was put up years ago?

Ealing Council has recently bought the parking enforcement service back 'in house' ie, not using external contractors. Just a coincidence?

It's definitely on the increase, presumably because you're not going to get a ticket.
