Vlod - your suggestion that some sort of limit should be put on the noise level is sensible and would be greatly appreciated by all of us who are affected. The noise on Saturday and  was such that i feared for the safety of my windows which were shaking and even my very solid front door was shaking. And 14 hours of almost non stop thumping was unwelcome to say the least. If they'd stop having such loud bass it would help.

Ealing Council could sort this by putting conditions on the licence that included providing noise monitoring data in real time and keeping it below a set threshold. It's not as if this is the first year there have been noise complaints about this event.

When I moaned about the noise disturbing elderly people for 8 or so hours and wished to be back in the days when Gunnersbury Park was my haven of peace. No litter , no loud music . just a peaceful place to be I got snide comments ..What did I contribute to make it a haven of peace.  If you have time scroll down to read my reply. Wonder what the snide remarkers  contributed ?

Have raised a complaint with Ealing. They appear to have other complaints about this and will be meeting with the organisers to discuss.But I'm not holding my breath for an early response.

We were definitely told the carnival was one day. It’s outrageous that level of noise was allowed for a second day. You could hear the lyrics up in Goldsmith Avenue. And the poor residents of Bryant Court (not my mum who hardly notices anything) had a fleeing weekend. One day is maybe bearable, two is not.Feargal Sharkey says he knows someone good at licensing, if we need help next time…

Noise Nuisance team have visited and agree that noise is unreasonable. But little can be done as they have two day licence. They have had other complaints and will speak to organisers, but that's no help to us today! At the very least we should have been told that it is a two day event. This has not been mentioned in any publicity.

Have been told that the licence for the carnival allowed it to take place over two days. My question as to why all the infotmation, posters etc only mentions one day remains unanswered.

Have reported it to Noise Nuisance team who have promised to visit my property which is opposite the park within an hour.

The so called carnival was only advertised as being yesterday, so I've no idea what this is.

Had the awful carnival for 7 hours yesterday, this seems to be carrying on from the park. Just about fed up with it.
