EALING COUNCIL - RUBBISH COLLECTION - NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE

Has anyone had the misfortune to have to speak with EC about non collection of wheelie rubbish bins.  I have.  My bin was not collected on the due date even though the collectors were collecting in our street.  When I called I was told I would have to call the following day to report it. When I called today I was told that I should have called before 1.00pm.  Now I will have to wait another week for the bin to be collected and if any sacks are not pushed into the bin then it will not be collected.  I have know EC were useless and I should not have expected more from them.  The woman I spoke to sounded half asleep - usual incompetent service from EC.  They are truly the pits.  No wonder we are over run with foxes and rodents.

I also have encountered the Kafkaesque policy of having to report a missed collection within a certain time frame. How people who are working are supposed to deal with the system is a mystery to me. They are very reluctant to accept missing collection reports which points to them having  target and means missed collections will be seriously under counted. If memory serves it was for a missed food bin collection and I got them to pick up the bin by making multiple online reports.

Rosco management of workers is important.. when the cats away the mice will play comes to mind!!!You said it yourself the leader has never been out to see the service as delivered so how are things going to change.North Korea manage decent by getting rid of the rot. That is hardly going to happen here in the UK.

I beg to differ, and you will remember Mr Ozegovic, when the Conservatives were last in charge at LBE under Jason Stacey the Refuse Collection was very efficient. As were many other things Council.JS even used to turn up unannounced on occasions and accompany on the rounds to learn and get insight to problems & issues.Somehow I don't see our current Dear Leader ever embarking on that particular course of Resident Focussed action .... 😂

I have personal experience with Ealing, Elmbridge, Brent and RBKC. It doesn't matter whether they are blue, red or yellow councils. They are all the same when it comes to rubbish collection. It all comes down to bad management... the problem is the grip of union power. Until this changes and that ain't going to happen soon we are stuck.

Welcome to LBE's Brave New Communist World!I believe refuse & recycling collection is all In-House now, so it should be better?You've been lucky in one respect, seems like there's been an improvement of sorts, in the past you would have been all but immediately accused of lying and The Contractor Is Never Wrong......😂
