Henry Farrell passed away

I have heard from one of Henry's good neighbours that he passed away on Monday at the age, I believe, of 83 at Charing Cross Hospital.Until recent years when Henry's health was poorly, he freely helped local people and businesses oppose various unneighbourly or unsuitable development plans in the Acton area of Creswick Road, Lynton Road, Horn Lane, Pierrepoint Road and also even in Haven Green, Ealing.Thank you Henry!  RIP.Victor Mishiku  3/8/2022.

Henry's neighbour Christine has just 'phoned to say that Henry's funeral is to take place on Wednesday 24th August at 12.40pm at the Mortlake Crematorium in Kew.Henry's brother and three nephews are over from Ireland.I believe that the No.533 bus runs there from Hammersmith Bus Depot.

Message from Edith Oakes (formerly of 5 Rosemont Road, W3) -"So sad to hear the news.  I knew him for over 20 years, he was one of the Springfield Neighbourhood Watch Coordinators and he attended every meeting.  When Joan was still alive, I visited his house a few times and we talked about politics and history........."  NB. Joan was Henry's late wife.

Thank you for your kind words, Rosco.I have also received messages from Nik & family (Pierrepoint Road) and Peter (Rosemont Road) remembering Henry's efforts to support local residents in opposing various unneighbourly planning cases in the past.Henry's neighbours in Fells Haugh and Springfield Court also the Teevan's Yard (219 Horn Lane) and the adjacent Car Wash business owners were greatly helped by Henry's efforts in particular.

V sad indeed when such a strong, community minded soldier is lost.The weary, put upon Residents of Ealing Borough owe him, and your good self Victor, immense thanks for the hard work and advice that you have provided over the decades in assisting in stopping unsuitable developments.RIP Henry, and Ongoing Good Health to you Victor.
