Shout out for the Safa Food Centre

Discovered this place recently and would highly recommend any one in Acton giving it a visit particularly if you are looking for cooking ingredients. It is a real Aladdin's cave so you might need to hunt around for what you want but the value is great. It has a baklava store inside as well as a meat counter which is good value. Great for nuts, seeds and herbs.It is similar to the more famous Hakikat which I have mentioned on this forum before but has a slightly different range.

Is SAFA the new one near the mini-roundabout?I'm a Hakikat fan usually but guests tell me that the Damas Gate one opposite the climbing wall is good too.

I haven't used Safa but it should be stressed that Acton is really blessed to have all these shops selling fresh fruit and veg and people should stop using supermarkets. The choice at Lidl and Morrisons is fairly dire anyway. The shops on the high street generally sell seasonal vegetables not packed in single use plastic which you can buy appropriate to need. I've heard people say they don't like buying from them because of the pollution. This is nonsense. You should be washing them anyway and particulates from vehicle emissions don't do you any harm if you ingest them only if you inhale them.
