Pub on the high street been boarded up for a while now. Did a decent priced pint and showed the football and atmosphere was quite friendly the times I’d been in. Is it permanently closed now?

Classic example of a great pub which served great quality beer but the owners/landlords definitely did not spend any money on the premises so always felt very run down when sitting inside, though their clientele (mainly Irish from my irregular visits) were very loyal. Hope against hope but it would be great if it could be reactivated and reopened with building improvements in the process since I am sure it will attract back old customers!

Interesting comments, thank you.I have never been in, because, to be honest, it looked VERY dodgy from the outside.Never judge a book by its cover eh?

That’s a shame. Let’s hope it repoens as another pub but current history of the area says that’s a bit optimistic

Yes gutted, good jukebox too.Not so keen on the red paintwork but that’s easily fixed.Developers would love the site, hope it reopens soon
