Acton Arts Project?

What ever happened to this? By my recollection around £15k was raised to create a number of various art installations around acton and so far there’s only 1 fin dac mural on the wall outside fed and watered. Where’s the rest of the money gone if nothing else has been commissioned?!

That's correct, it is Acton Unframed.We just got the planning permission from the council for our Jamal Edwards wall to go up on Acton High Street. Unfortunately it's taken much longer than we had anticipated but glad it's finally here and we can plan it again. The mural (wall sculpture) will go up at the end of August / beginnig of September. Please keep an eye on our instagram or website for updates. Acton Arts project is the organisation set up to acquire the Old Library building on the High Street for a cinema.I regularly post updates on this and other social media sites. Anne Marie Flanagan has written stories for the front page. We always encourage you to sign up as a supporter at www.actonartsproject.com. Updates with photos and newsletter right to your in box. There have been a few name changes, which is confusing. Try the website of ARTification:www.artification.org.ukAs for the murals, there are three; there is certainly another on the side of the storage hut on the Mount (Market Place end), and another somewhere by Derwentwater School.
