Virgin Broadband in Acton (W3)- is it fast/reliable?

Hello there,We are considering changing our broadband/internet from BT to Virgin, and I have been told the quality of Virgin varies from borough to borough. Has anyone here had experience with them? What is it like in Acton? Thank you for any comments, reviews etc. We've been with BT for 22 years! We will be changing land-line too.Sarah B

Used to be superfast and completely reliable but over the past few years have deteriorated significantly.I've had to invest in a mobile internet device to provide a back up service.I report faults through their web site on a mobile phone and it is one of my most regularly visited pages. They are good at coming out if the fault is persistent.Speeds appear to have been compromised by increased contention rates due to home working and there has been little compensating investment in local infrastructure.I am currently trying to work out how to unpick the TV and phone package I have with them as well. Definitely avoid.

I also read the article, which gives Virgin a massive kicking. My own experience of them over many years is that it's been okay but I haven't tried to contact them lately.

I've been with Virgin for TV and broadband for many years. Like all providers they have their good and bad points. I find them fast and usually reliable. But their customer service is poor and I have had to write to the CEO in the past when they were blatantly lying to me about service disruption. But overall I have stuck with them as they are pretty fast and generally reliable.
