Why has my neighbour in her 70s been told to go to Southall for her jab? It seems ridiculous to go all that way when she doesn't drive or know the place. Are there no vaccinations being done in Acton?

Mine was today at C P House, 109 Uxbridge Rd, Ealing, London W5 5TL. I was the only person in there, I was 30 minutes early for my appointment and went straight in, it was the AstraZeneca vaccine, and the 2nd one is in May

I had my first shift as a volunteer at the Ealing Town Hall hub yesterday and its a very impressive operation - usual NHS shoestring but it worked.Lovely to work with people so happy to be there, so grateful to the NHS and pleased to be having the vaccination. One chap even brought chocolate biscuits for the team.I think we only had about five no-shows the whole shift.

Do the right thing and have your jabs folks.I was texted at V short notice earlier this afternoon by my Surgery, chose a 17:20 slot for later today at Ealing Town Hall, and was vaccinated at 17:30 with the Astra Zeneca. The 10 minute delay was only because of a computer glitsch.Smooth as clockwork, all the staff know what they're doing, all very reassuring.Well Done NHS!!! 👏

Must say I was very impressed with Ealing Town Hall and the way they handled the vaccinations. I took my sister on Sunday and it was well organised and seamless. Parking was no problem. A big thank you for those working on Sunday in the vaccination centre - you are doing an excellent job.

No special parking is arranged. So it's the car parks behind and on top of the shopping centres. You are aware the Council car park behind Perceval house is open to the public evenings and weekends? Careful the way you approach though. Turning right off Ealing Broadway is verboten.

There was a message about being able to park in slots reserved for councillors - but that may have been only blue badge holders.

Don't think so, and there was even someone hovering by the Ealing Community bus parked near there when I was taken.

Are there parking facilities at Ealing Town Hall for people having their vaccine appointment?

Totally endorse Maire's view. 0utstanding efficiency and very friendly support at Ealing Town Hall. All credit to the medical and ancilliary staff involved.

I had my vaccine this afternoon. Very slick operation. Smiling faces. See my account on the front page. Fame at last.

Oaks had many empty shops It’s big enough to handle to give people the jab

Sorry I must have missed the previous thread. Yes my neighbour will request Ealing - thanks for the tip. It does seem crazy there are only 2 venues for such a large Borough.

Had mine at Ealing Town Hall. I was offered Southall but declined as I would have had difficulty in getting there. Maybe there is difficulty in providing somewhere suitable in Acton that has enough space and suitable facilities for storing the vaccine - seems they are using the Pfitzer which needs the extra cold storage.

" there is no provision for Acton residents"And there never is, is there?Acton gets nothing but second & third hand in everything, we are always an afterthought. If we get thought of at all.

That's why I started my previous thread - there is no provision for Acton residents. Ealing is such a large borough: there should be a vaccination centre in Acton and probably another in somewhere like Northolt or Greenford. Can you imagine people in the farthest reaches of East Acton being sent to Southall?!When I was 'invited' I asked to go to Ealing instead of Southall and that's where I was done yesterday. Perhaps your neighbour could request Ealing if it's easier for her.
