Where are all the Christmas lights?

No Council Christmas lights in the High St and Churchfield Road.Not very cheerful or festive.

I too wondered earlier in the week as to where the lights were.....when lo and behold, yesterday, they were installing blue fairy lights around the lamp posts of Churchfield Road.Good to see they didn't rush - unlike the installation of the LTN's.....

Time to secede from the "Union"?Set up a specific Local Party with a singular manifesto of regaining our own independent Acton Council again?If such a thing is possible of coures, I have no idea.

Acton always last Everywhere else they are on Shame that acton is never up there with Ealing Broadway

Yes - when we wandered along to the market, there were chaps up ladders putting up the blue lights on lamp-posts along Churchfield Road.

I saw a man in Churchfield Road who looked like he was putting up lights....

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the unwanted, useless and purely politically motivated renaming of Havelock Road used up all the Christmas Budget?

Woodhurst road and Cumberland road also have lovely lights. There is something comforting and reassuring about the sight of a row of houses with pretty lights outside.

Brilliant! Well done. Although you would think the council might realise we need some extra Xmas cheer this year and at least put the lights up!

So don't look in the high street, or council provision but to Shakespeare Road, Milton, Myrtle, Baldwyn Gardens and Goldsmith Avenue where residents have fought back against the dark and gloom of a November lockdown and a depressing December, by decking their trees and house frontages with sparkly lights.Ealing Council may want us miserable, oppressed and pent up inside the beastly LTN, but #MyStreet at any rate is trying to cheer itself up.

Mr friend in Munich mentioned that they have no Christmas decorations up in the City so we are not the only ones. I expect the Councils have more pressing worries this year. To be honest it never crossed my mind that there were no street lights up.
