Contacting local councillors

What is the best way to contact one's local councillors?  I have tried via WriteToThem.com and have not even had an acknowledgment of my email, assuming it was sent OK.

It's pretty obvious, and I have said it so many times now - The Residents Associations need to unite.They spend countless hours, energy and money in "fighting" City Hall on various issues, which they invariably lose,  when, with a bit of organisation, the could BE City Hall.Guess they're all masochists and enjoy wasting their time, energy, and money - year in, year out?

But who has the energy to organise a residents party?It's what we really need but even the thought is exhausting.

I believe the core problem is the Idiots who can't separate Local from National Politics, and who consider them the same thing.If someone wants to vote Labour nationally I can understand that, but to vote Labour locally is ....... words escape me. 😉 And, as I believe most agree, politics shouldn't come into it at Council level.

Rosco they are hopeless, several years ago I needed help with the defence of Peacehaven, 1 of our locally listed buildings in Acton. We don't have many... I approached 1 of our labour ward councillor in the street by chance; he was druck and very abusive to me and a neighbour when I approached him!! it was shameful to say the least.. These are the people who are supposedly here to represent us all and not just their own self-interest!! What goes up must come down we may not have reached the peak Rosco.

We really do have to toss this useless lot out on their ear at the next Local Elections.I mean, they are worse than appalling.Just who votes for them?I thank you.

Rosco and I almost never agree on anything - but he's right, both Gary Malcolm and Jon Ball  - LibDems and not Acton Central - are responsive and helpful when they can be.

Ms Sidoryk, if you're in the (VERY) unlucky situation of having three LAB Ward Councillors, and you get ignored, you can then try the perverse course of contacting one of the more active CON or LIBDEM Councillors of an unrelated Ward, who may well assist you.Says it all when you have to ask the Small Minority Opposition to get stuff done, that's not even on their "patch", and they still do it.

Most of the Labour Councillors don't answer, they all have "Ken Livingstone Disease", you've only to read the regular complaints on here.They're very sure of their voter base so they don't feel the need to exert themselves and do anything for Residents, it's the idiot Local Labour Politics that matter!Both the CON and LIBDEM Councillors generally DO seem to reply, from what I understand.SO pleased for all you Local Labour voters!  🤣

But it doesn't mean they reply: Sarah Rooney tries. Our mayor, Abdullah, never has much - though a cheery soul to meet in the street -  and Daniel seems to have given up altogether - certainly either to me on anything or on Low Traffic Neighbourhoods to anyone. Also now unresponsive on twitter.

If you can fight your way through Ealing Council's (not very good) website, they give contact details for all councillors, usually email addresses and phone numbers, so you can contact them directly.
