Morrisons & Wilko

Morrisons,queues up down round the aisles. A free for all melee.Does anyone manage or supervise the store?Here's one, open tills & accept cash - legal tender.Wilko, trolleys stuffed with goods rather than shelves.Even staff member said self service tills more trouble than they are worth!!Sort it out, Xmas is coming

Agree with about the self-serve at Wilko. I usually use them in all stores by choice but they are very tricky to navigate and there isn't a member of staff on hand to sort out problems. You then have to persuade people in the queue to let you rejoin. However, I've not experienced particularly long queues at Wilko.

I don't think it can be staff shortages - or if it is, can only be poor management. Morrisons have hired loads of people since the start of the pandemic (as have the other supermarkets. And its not all ben in online delivery ad fulfilment.At one point, my husband popped in (one of very few visits) and said there were loads of new people loading up for local delivery.https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-54072287

Does it not occur to you that there must be a shortage of staff as we cope with this pandemic and subsequent self isolation for many workers?  I for one continue to use Morrison's as it is a British company, has been around for ages and still has some of the same staff it started with when it took over from Safeways in Acton - that speaks for itself.  Let us have some appreciation and good will.Happy Christmas, by the way!

Best way LB. walk away, about time these stores listened to their customers.It typifies the way things are going (& should be protested against) machines & not people

Abandoned my trolley after waiting 25 mins in the queue for the only open till in Morrison’s last night around 8pm.Would have been another 30+ mins I’d stuck it out.Went back this evening around 5pm- better but still only 3 tills open and a 20 min wait.

Surprised to hear that about Morrisons, you'd think that since they lost their local monopoly they'd up their game.Seemingly not?I, like many, haven't used them since LIDL and WILKO opened.
